Active Zinc Oxide
PCC Active Zinc Oxide
Activated Zinc Oxide (ZnO) is a high-surface-area, fine-particle zinc oxide that serves as a key activator in rubber and latex compounding. Compared to standard zinc oxide, its increased surface reactivity ensures faster vulcanization, improved tensile properties, and enhanced dispersion in both dry and wet systems.
Emersive supplies high-quality Activated ZnO engineered for glove dipping, rubber extrusion, and technical rubber goods where precise cure control and mechanical performance are critical.
Product Features
- High reactivity and fine particle size (typically <1 µm)
- Accelerated vulcanization rate and reduced curing time
- Enhanced mechanical strength and elongation in final product
- Excellent dispersion and stability in latex systems
- Lower dosage requirement compared to standard ZnO
- Improved chemical utilization efficiency, reducing zinc discharge in effluents
- Compatible with natural rubber, nitrile, polychloroprene, and polyisoprene
Applications
- Latex gloves – activator for sulfur curing systems
- Rubber compounds – improves cure efficiency and tensile strength
- Adhesives and coatings – crosslinking catalyst and reinforcement
- Sealants and sponges – curing promoter for consistent performance
- Dry & wet masterbatch dispersion systems
